WHERE IT ALL STARTED
I found CrossFit in 2012 when I first moved to Dublin from Galway. After a coach in CrossFit Dublin took me through my fundamentals I knew I really wanted to commit to CrossFit as a sport and lifestyle. In 2013 I began my CrossFit Dublin Apprenticeship where I got to shadow some of the best coaches and learn from best practices. After 6 months of shadowing and developing my own coaching skills, I began to take regular morning classes.
My passion lies in teaching people work on their weaknesses whilst encouraging them to push beyond their limits when they attend one of my classes. I have the utmost respect for everyone who walks through the doors of CrossFit Perpetua Dublin because everyone has individual goals that they want to reach and I want to be a part of that process in helping everyone achieve their goals to the utmost of their ability.
I truly believe CrossFit changes everyone’s lifestyle in a positive way, either by losing weight, setting a new personal best or just wanting to get fit, These are all areas that I want to help people with. Being naturally competitive I am 100% dedicated to my members which I believe helps me be a better coach for my members. Your challenges will also become my challenges and tofether we can plot out the steps to help you achieve these goals together, and I will support you every step of the way to achieve those goals.
My competitive CrossFit journey began in 2010 at a local competition in Waterford. Having previously played GAA in school and then into competitive sailing, I feel into CrossFit.
From there Ive went on to compete around Ireland and then on to represent Ireland in 2012 & 2013 in the UK. I’ve competed all around Europe at some of the biggest CrossFit competitions.
In 2017, I reached one of my biggest goals and qualified for the CrossFit Regionals in Madrid representing CrossFit 8020. As a team, we finished 12 place in the Meridian Region. If you are interested in taking part in CrossFit competitions, I would be more than happy to help.
Some recent performances:
- Filthy 150 Team Competition 2016 – 1st Place
- Mallow Mania 2016- 1st Place
- Capital Games 2016 – 1st Place
- CrossFit Regionals 2017 – 12th Place
I moved up to Dublin 2012 to work for Google where I started off in the Sales Team for 3 years and moved onto an Account Manager role for another 3 years. I spent 6 years in Google, however I wanted to focus more time on my Fitness Holiday company – WOD Holidays – and my competitive career in CrossFit. I have been 18 months out of Google now and look forward to building a strong community in Perpetua.
